Annual Wellness Examinations & Vaccines
Bringing your pet in for an annual wellness exam and vaccines keeps your pet healthy and gives you a peace of mind! Yearly check-ups can help us possibly detect any problems and catch them early by taking a full history, tracking weight and doing a comprehensive physical exam. This allows us to keep track of you pets health and address any concerns you may have. If your pet is a senior (7+ years) we highly recommend doing a senior wellness blood profile to ensure liver and kidneys are functioning properly and there are no underlying conditions.

Parasite Prevention
Pets are susceptible to a number of parasites, both internal and external. We have many products that will protect your pet!
Fleas & Ticks
External parasites that are found on the skin, they can cause irritations and transmit diseases. With the changing climate, we can now see these parasites year round. We have topical or chewable products that will protect your pet from 1 - 3 months per dose.
We will perform a blood test on dogs to screen for Lyme disease and 2 other tick borne diseases. We perform this test every other year, as long as your dog is on prevention annually.
Intestinal Parasites
Common intestinal parasites include tapeworm, hookworms, roundworms and whipworms. There is also now a fox tapeworm in the area that can be transmitted to humans, for that reason we deworm all pets at their yearly vaccines (even indoor cats) and deworm high-risk pets multiple times a year. We recommend bringing a fecal sample from your pet at their annual wellness exam for us to check for any intestinal parasites!
Heartworm
Heartworms reside in the heart and lungs of infected dogs and cats. This deadly disease is carried by mosquitoes, transmitting heartworm larva into the bloodstream with a bite. Fortunately, this is a preventable disease. We recommend putting your pet on monthly prevention from May to October or November, and we screen for heartworm with a blood test every other year (as long as your pet is on prevention yearly)
